 Mental Health Conditions Library

Welcome to the Mental Health Conditions Library — a space designed to educate, inform, and support men in understanding the many sides of mental well-being.

Mental health isn't black and white. It’s a spectrum — and knowing what you're dealing with is the first step toward healing, growth, and control.

 Common Conditions Explained:

1. Anxiety Disorders

  • Constant worry, overthinking, restlessness, racing heart

  • Includes: Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety

2. Depression

  • Low energy, sadness, loss of interest, hopelessness

  • More than just feeling "down" — it can affect sleep, appetite, and thoughts

3. ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Trouble focusing, impulsivity, restlessness (not just in kids)

  • Often misdiagnosed or missed in adult men

4. PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)

  • Flashbacks, nightmares, emotional numbness after trauma

  • Can stem from childhood, military service, accidents, or abuse

5. OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)

  • Intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) to ease anxiety

6. Bipolar Disorder

  • Shifts between depression and manic (high-energy) phases

  • Requires professional diagnosis and often medication

7. Substance Use & Addiction

  • Using drugs or alcohol to cope can lead to dependency

  • Addiction is treatable — recovery is possible
